Sponsorship advice for contestants

If you are lucky enough to reach the final, you will need to generate £600 cash sponsorship. This can be either a personal (friend or family) sponsorship or a commercial sponsorship from the likes of your place of work, a local boutique, hairdresser or gym.

The purpose of this sponsorship is to help fund the best Miss Universe GB competition we have ever seen and to give our winner the best possible start in her bid for Miss Universe 2008. A percentage of proceeds from Miss Universe GB 2008 will also be given to the charity The Joshua Foundation.

If you are lucky enough to be selected to take part in the final, your place will only be secured once you have confirmed your sponsorship.

How to Interest a Sponsor
Please download the contestant sponsorship form here. We recommend you alert your potential sponsor to all of the benefits of sponsorship either through post, email or by talking to them personally:

• company name incorporated in all press releases about sponsored contestant;
• company promotion on www.missuniversegb.co.uk;
• link to your website from www.missuniversegb.co.uk;
• use of the 'official sponsor of Miss Universe GB 2008’ logo;
• a mention in the Miss Universe GB 2008 final programme;
• company logo flashed onto promotional screen throughout the Miss Universe GB competition event which will be watched by 40 media organisations;
• use of the contestant in one promotional opportunity either before or after the competition final;
• company name mentions throughout the final by Miss Universe GB compere;
• two free VIP tickets for the Miss Universe GB 2008 final.
